Our vision for 2020 and the next decade
Having spent 20 years in the agricultural industry, the year 2020 is a significant milestone for all of us at UMOBA. Not only is it the start of an exciting new decade, but it is a time that we can reflect on the last 20 years in the new millennium and appreciate how it has driven us forward and how technology has allowed us to adapt to the agricultural industries ever evolving needs, as well as how we will strive to continue adapting and growing for the future.
Power through precision, has been at our core since we started business in Eswatini all those years ago, and it continues to be a driving force for growth and innovation in our company.
Agriculture for the future
In the past 20 years we have adopted a more environmentally conscious approach to sugar cane harvesting, with the addition of green sugarcane harvesting to our service offering. This method requires no burning of cane, as it is harvested from the green stems, which reduces greenhouse gas emissions by an estimated 32.43% when compared to conventional methods.
Our commitment to growth and innovation does not stop there. We also offer precision land preparation services using specialized equipment which maps out the exact area which needs to be prepared for planting.
Our latest additions
The addition of our new spray rig is a further step into modern agricultural technology, making use of a John Deere self-propelled boom sprayer, the 1st in of its kind in Eswatini. We at UMOBA offer our clients three crop spraying solutions together with our strategic partners to ensure optimal crop growth and yields second to none, all while aiding in the eradication of diseases caused by pests.

At UMOBA, we strive to optimize growth wherever our services are employed. In the next decade our vision is to see efficiencies in the sugar cane, forestry, construction and crop spraying industries increase, all while decreasing our carbon footprint for the longevity of Eswatini’s farmed lands and the world.
Since our start 20 years ago we have seen massive development in our industry and have been fortunate enough to take part in a booming sector of our economy. Not only has our service offering expanded tremendously with the addition of plant hire, land prep, and taking on the role of being the official Dezzi equipment dealer in Eswatini & Mozambique, but we have also seen the growth and future potential in Eswatini, something we believe can only be tapped into using, “POWER THROUGH PRECISION”.
